Change of Address Reporting Requirement
All persons living in the United States who are not U.S. citizens must report to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) any change of address within 10 days of the address change. The "address" is where the individual physically resides. (Be aware that the address cannot be a PO Box.) Federal law imposes severe penalties for failure to notify USCIS of a change of address.
Florida Tech students on F visas and exchange visitors on J visas, including dependents in F-2 and J-2 status, comply with the address-change reporting requirement by notifying the ISSS Office of the address change. The adviser will update SEVIS upon receiving the new address information from the student or exchange visitor.
