Student Housing and Meal Plan Application Portal
All students, new and returning, will need their Tracks username and password to access the Housing Application Portal. There is a $100 non-refundable application fee to complete and submit your housing application.
NEW STUDENTS: a tuition fee also required to access the Housing Application Portal. Go to your Admitted Student Portal to submit your non-refundable $300 Tuition fee. Please allow 2-3 business days for access to the Housing Application Portal after your Tuition fee has been paid.

All Student Spring 25 Housing Application Dates
- All Students Spring 25 Application Only Opens: October 1, 2024 & Closes: January 22, 2025
- Application submitted by November 28, 2024 will receive housing assignment email by December 5, 2024.
- Application submitted by December 16, 2024 will receive housing assignment email by December 20, 2024.
- Application submitted after December 17, 2024 will receive housing assignment email by January 6, 2025.
- Students are approved to move-in to their campus housing assignment on Thursday, January 9 2025.
New Student 25-26 Housing Application Dates
- New Student Application Open: November 1, 2024 & Closes: September 15, 2025
- Advanced notification of building assignment will be shared with students who submitted application by the following dates:
- Application submitted by January 28, 2025 will receive housing building email by February 5, 2024.
- Application submitted by April 4, 2025 will receive housing assignment email by April 10, 2025.
- Application submitted by June 10, 2025 will receive their building, room, and roommates email by June 17, 2025.
- All roommate requests must be submitted by June 1 to be considered for final housing assignments.
- Housing Applications submitted after June 10 will get notified within three weeks of submitting their application for their housing placement.
Transfer / Graduate Student 25-26 Housing Application Dates
- Transfer / Graduate Student Application Open: November 1, 2024
- Application Closes once the all allotted bed spaces have been filled
- Advanced notification of building assignment will be shared with students who submitted application by the following dates:
- Application submitted by January 28, 2025 will receive housing building email by February 5, 2024.
- Application submitted by April 4, 2025 will receive housing assignment email by April 10, 2025.
- Application submitted by June 10, 2025 will receive their building, room, and roommates email by June 17, 2025.
- All roommate requests must be submitted by June 1 to be considered for final housing assignments.
- Housing Applications submitted after June 10 will get notified within three weeks of submitting their application with their housing placement.
Returning Student 24-25 Housing Application Dates
- Returning Student Application Open: November 19, 2024 & Closes: September 15, 2025 or until all allotted beds have been filled.
- A $100 Housing Fee is required for returning students for the the 25-26 school year.
- Returning Student Room Selection Process
- Students with completed housing application by February 23, 2025, will receive a randomized time slot for the online room selection.
- Room Selection time slots will be release on February 26, 2025.
- All confirmed roommates will get the same room selection time
- All roommate group infomration must be submitted by February 23, 2025
- Online Room Style selection will begin on March 4, and students will be granted access starting at their designated timeslot. The online room style selection process will go until March 12. The timeslots will be distributed evenly amongst those dates.
- Students will be notified of their final building placement and roommates by June 17, 2025
Housing Exemption Request
Florida Tech has an undergraduate one-year residency requirement which can be viewed here: First-Time in College Residency Requirement. Students who have met one or more of the criteria listed in the policy or those who wish to request a special consideration for a Housing Exemption may do so through completing this form: Housing Exemption Request. All requests require supporting documentation. Upon submission of the form, you will be contacted by email within 5-10 days business days.
Room Change Requests
The housing department will take room change requests during the third week of the semester. The requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and processed on an individual basis, pending space availability. Space is limited, and reassignment is not guaranteed. You are encouraged to work with your Resident Assistant (RA) and Resident Director (RD) staff to assist you with any roommate concerns you may be experiencing.
Spring 2025 Housing Extension
Students can request an extension of up to two days beyond the Sunday, May 11, 2025 move-out date. It's important to note that the deadline for submitting the application is Monday, May 5, 2025. An official form for the extension request will be released in January 2025.
